CONNEMARA cask strength 58,6%

Nose:
Aggressive. Peat. Faint charcoal. Lots of sugar cane. Possibly cardamom. After warming something chemical or glue-like emerges.

Palate:
Refined sugar theme continues and almost in full domination. Initially something charcoal-ish. Peat certainly present but somewhat overshadowed by that massive sweetness.

Finish:
Massive wall of peat. Dry.

Comment:
Not sure what to think of this one. Certainly an enjoyable whiskey but there is room for improvement. The peat could do with acting a bit more "extrovert".

Rating: 7,5/10
